CTPA launched a new resource to show the steps that companies shall follow when they are looking to place a new cosmetic ingredient on the UK and EU markets. The flowchart, which is very easy to follow and navigate through, takes into account the main applicable laws; mainly, the Cosmetics Regulation; Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation; Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation. However, companies are reminded that other pieces of legislation may apply on a case by case assessment; for example, environmental, sourcing, licensing, or others, which apply to the new ingredient.
