On 21 October 2022, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), the UK competent authority for cosmetic products, sent a communication to registered users of the Submit Cosmetic Products Notifications (SCPN) portal, outlining changes to the way in which nanomaterials are added to cosmetic product notifications.
The functionality to add the correct nanomaterials to product notifications is being improved and users that notify nanomaterials will now be able to link nanomaterial notifications to cosmetic product notifications directly by selecting them from a drop-down list.
The update will be implemented on 26 October 2022.
