Under Article 4 of the UK Cosmetics Regulation (UKCR), it is a legal requirement for all cosmetic products placed on the UK market to have a Responsible Person (RP) established in the UK. This person may be a natural (i.e. an individual) or legal (i.e. a company) person who will take responsibility for ensuring that every cosmetic product placed on the market is safe and complies with all the requirements of the UKCR summarised in Article 5.
CTPA has worked with Trading Standards to produce an infographic which outlines the minimum requirements to what may be considered as an ‘established in the UK’ for a RP, in regards to the GB market.
