On 9 December 2022 the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) published the new Product Safety Risk Assessment Methodology (PRISM). It is for use by market surveillance and enforcement authorities in Great Britain (GB), with responsibility for consumer product safety. The intention is to provide authorities with an updated risk assessment methodology. This replaces the previous EU Safety Gate approach (RAPEX).
