Users can now search submitted notifications by name or ingredients.
On 24 November 2022, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), the UK competent authority for cosmetic products, sent a communication to registered users of the Submit Cosmetic Products Notifications (SCPN) portal, outlining the new ability to search product notifications.
This allows users to search for their own product notifications on the SCPN portal by product name, UKCP number, or ingredient. Users can filter the search results to show only notifications submitted within a date range and can sort the display order of notifications by relevance, newest and oldest.
The ability to search for an ingredient included in a cosmetic product notification is only compatible with notifications submitted after 2 October 2022. Users can filter the results to match against any of the words within the ingredient name, or the exact ingredient name.
The search option can be found on the left-hand side of the ‘Cosmetic products’ page of the portal.
The update has been implemented and is currently live on the portal.
