To benefit from the terms of the UK/EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), goods must meet specific Rules of Origin requirements. Rules of origin determine where a product originates from and which tariffs subsequently apply to it. The TCA establishes the principles and details of rules of origin, as well as cumulation of origin for the purposes of the TCA, the tolerance levels, the relevant information on insufficient production and how to apply rules of origin to sets of goods. In particular, Annex ORIG-2 of the TCA provides a list of the specific rules of origin for each sector.
