DBT Webinars: Product Regulation and Metrology Bill

Registration open for DBT webinars on new Product Regulation and Metrology Bill.

As announced in this news item, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has introduced the Product Regulation and Metrology Bill to the House of Lords.  The Bill has been drafted as an enabling bill with a broad scope, aimed at providing DBT and the Office for Product Safety and Stsandard (OPSS) with the relevant powers to make changes to the UK regulatory framework for consumer products and manufactured goods, including cosmetic products.

Further information can be found here.

DBT has scheduled two upcoming webinars to provide businesses with a brief overview of the current policy background, the context to the Bill, and the intended powers the Bill will provide to the UK Government.  DBT will address details on the clauses in the Bill and outline the Parliamentary processes and timings, with the opportunity for businesses to ask questions.

Please see links to register to the webinars on the following dates:

CTPA is following the Bill and will continue to keep members updated of any further information and progressions
