On 7 November 2023, Cosmetics Europe (CE – the European personal case association) published its guidance on the ‘fragrance allergens’ requirements, to provide support to companies in regard to the requirements to label the 80+ allergens on cosmetic products.
The main purpose of this guidance document is to help companies to understand and correctly interpret the ‘fragrance allergens’ labelling requirements and adapt its practices to ensure continued compliance. In additional to very detailed explanations as to how to meet the new requirements, the document also provides a table with practical case studies and a section outlining the international impact of the labelling of 80+ fragrance allergens.
