Brexit – Call for Evidence of Technical Barriers to Trade

The House of Lords has launched an inquiry into non-tariff barriers that could affect future UK-EU trade in manufactured goods and how these could be addressed in the future economic relationship to facilitate trade.  The Committee invites interested companies and organisations to submit written evidence to this inquiry by 28 June 2020.  Public hearings are expected to take place in June and July, and the Committee aims to report to the House in the autumn.

CTPA will submit its contribution to the inquiry on behalf of the UK cosmetics industry.  However, we encourage both CTPA members and non-members to also take part by providing their feedback and provide a more detailed perspective from an individual business point of view.
