Under its Sustainability Strategy, Driving Towards a Net Positive Cosmetics Industry, CTPA supports the transition towards a circular economy and the use of otherwise waste materials is recognised as a key element in the drive towards the overall reduction of waste and resources.
While it is important to rethink models of consumption, the credibility of the industry and the trust of its consumers must be maintained. Therefore, CTPA has developed guidance to outline the key considerations for the successful use of such materials, taking into consideration sourcing, Good Manufacturing Practice, labelling, consumer information and its sustainability.
