Following the publication of the Brexit negotiation mandates by both the EU and the UK, CTPA has now issued its position papers with the key negotiation arguments for the future cooperation between the UK and the EU and the proposals for the future UK regulatory frameworks for cosmetics. The position papers are available for download below.
- CTPA Position paper on the UK-EU relationship: highlights the general principles of regulatory cooperation and trade relevant for the cosmetics industry.
- CTPA Position paper on Rules of Origin: highlights Rules of Origin that are relevant to the cosmetics industry in the future EU/UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
- CTPA Position paper on the cosmetics regulatory framework: highlights how the UK and the EU could continue to cooperate specifically for cosmetics, and how the UK future Cosmetics Regulation might be implemented.
- CTPA Position paper on the chemicals regulatory framework: highlights how the UK and the EU could continue to cooperate specifically for chemicals, and how the UK future REACH Regulation might be implemented.
CTPA has already shared and explained these position papers with key UK Government stakeholders and sister associations. Companies and stakeholders are encouraged to consult the position papers and share them with their local MPs, EU affiliates and counterparts, to ensure a united message is provided by the cosmetics industry.
