Voluntary Symbol for Perforated Full-body Sleeves

The International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products (AISE) has developed a voluntary packaging-related symbol to be used on perforated full-body sleeves with the objective to improve the consumer understanding that full body sleeves should be removed before disposal, hence contributing to the uptake of recycled packaging material.  AISE is encouraging their members to implement this new symbol as artwork changes occur, to make it appear on shelves as soon as possible.

Perforated full-body sleeves are not as commonly used in cosmetic products as in detergents.  However, cosmetic companies are also invited to use this symbol, to ensure consistency of messaging towards consumers.

The relevant guidelines on the use of the symbol can be found on the AISE website.
