CTPA Sustainability Summit: Speaker Announcement

CTPA is delighted to announce that Dr Margaret Bates, one of the UK’s foremost experts in waste management and the circular economy will be hosting an open Q&A session around the future of packaging and recycling at its Sustainability Summit, taking place in Central London this May.

With over 30 years’ experience across academia, government, and industry, Margaret led the establishment of the UK’s Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Scheme Administrator working across governments and the packaging value chain to deliver major system reform.  Previously she has held roles as Managing Director of OPRL, Professor of Sustainable Wastes Management and President of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management.  Her work centres on practical, evidence-based solutions that accelerate the transition to a more circular, sustainable economy.

Taking place, in-person, at Woburn House, London on 20 May 2026, this flagship event will bring together leading experts to share invaluable perspectives and equip delegates with insight into how sustainability issues are shaping innovation across the cosmetics and personal care sector.

Through engaging workshops and discussions, the CTPA Sustainability Summit aims to inspire attendees to think creatively about future opportunities; a unique opportunity to connect with peers, key stakeholders, and other experts from all areas of the cosmetics industry through a curated programme designed to spark insight and collaboration, followed by a networking drinks reception.

Due to limited seat availability, we recommend that you secure your place by 1 May 2026.

The cost will be CTPA member £250+VAT; Non-members £325+VAT

The CTPA Sustainability Summit is open both to CTPA members and non-members. It is designed for anyone working in the cosmetics and personal care sector with an interest in sustainability and how it relates to the products of the future, from formulations and packaging to marketing.

The preliminary programme is available on the events site here, where you can also book your spot.

We are looking forward to meeting you in London!
