CTPA is proud to be a founding signatory of the UK Packaging Pact, joining organisations from across the value chain, supported by PackUK and the UK Government, to help transform the UK’s packaging system.
The Packaging Pact marks a new era for circular packaging in the UK, helping transform packaging to work better for people and the planet. The Pact is designed to help businesses respond to growing complexity in packaging policy and delivery, while working together to unlock system-wide change and accelerate progress on circular packaging in the UK.
CTPA Director-General Dr Emma Meredith OBE said:
"CTPA has been pleased to work with WRAP for many years, having been a signatory to its UK Plastics Pact, and is proud to now be a founding signatory of the UK Packaging Pact which launched on 21 April 2026. CTPA is joining nearly 100 organisations, supported by PackUK and the UK Government, to help transform packaging to be better for people and planet. The UK cosmetics and personal care industry is committed to creating products that not only support our health, hygiene and wellbeing, but also do not negatively impact our environment.
The packaging used for cosmetics and personal care products plays an essential role, it keeps our products safe, carries important information and can make the products easier to use. A drive towards a more circular economy, however, where we waste less, is essential and a key focus for CTPA and its members. This is why CTPA is excited to be part of the UK Packaging Pact, which is collective leadership in action."
