Register Now for CTPA's UK-India Cosmetics Industry Roundtable!

As part of the UK Government’s Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade’s (BIST) International Trade Week (ITW) 2026, CTPA is pleased to invite cosmetics businesses to its in-person UK–India Cosmetics Industry Roundtable, taking place on 13 November 2026, from 09:00 to 13:00 (GMT), at the Inner Temple, London.

The event will bring together representatives from BIST, the British High Commission in New Delhi, CTPA and cosmetics businesses to explore opportunities under the UK–India CETA*, share export experiences, and discuss trade barriers affecting cosmetics exports to India.

The programme includes:

  • An overview of India’s regulatory framework for cosmetics and an update on the latest developments;
  • Insights into the key benefits of CETA for the cosmetics sector, including Rules of Origin and how businesses can qualify for preferential tariffs;
  • An interactive discussion on businesses’ export experiences and how the UK Government and CTPA work together to address trade barriers affecting the cosmetics sector;
  • Opportunities to ask questions and network with participants.

The roundtable is intended for cosmetics companies already exporting to India or actively preparing to enter the market.  We encourage representatives involved in regulatory affairs, international trade, market access, exports, or government affairs to register.  Attendance is free for CTPA members and non-members and is in person only.  Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to approval following completion of a short application form.

*The UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) entered into force in July 2026, bringing opportunities for many sectors, including cosmetics.  Greater economic ties with India present a significant economic opportunity for every corner of the UK, as India is the world’s fastest-growing major economy and is expected to become the third-largest economy globally by 2031.  Benefiting from the Agreement requires businesses to understand its provisions and the practical steps involved.  Alongside this, CETA provides an important opportunity to address regulatory challenges and trade barriers affecting exports to India.
