Organised by CTPA in partnership with the UK Government Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), we invite cosmetic companies to join our exclusive in person UK-India Cosmetics Industry Roundtable on 13 November 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00 (GMT), at the Inner Temple, London.

The roundtable will bring together representatives from BIST, the British High Commission in New Delhi, CTPA and cosmetics businesses to discuss the opportunities arising from the UK–India CETA*, hear directly from companies about their experience of exporting to India, and explore the key trade barriers affecting the cosmetics sector.

The programme will include discussion on India’s regulatory framework for cosmetics, the practical benefits of CETA including Rules of Origin and preferential tariffs, and how CTPA and the UK Government work together to address market access barriers.

The event is particularly relevant for cosmetics companies already exporting to India or actively preparing to enter the market, including colleagues working in regulatory affairs, international trade, market access, exports or government affairs. Attendance is free for CTPA members and non-members and is in person only.

*The UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) entered into force in July 2026, bringing opportunities for many sectors, including cosmetics.  Greater economic ties with India present a significant economic opportunity for every corner of the UK, as India is the world’s fastest-growing major economy and is expected to become the third-largest economy globally by 2031.  Benefiting from the Agreement requires businesses to understand its provisions and the practical steps involved.  Alongside this, CETA provides an important opportunity to address regulatory challenges and trade barriers affecting exports to India.
