The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has launched a new Product Regulation Sandbox programme to support innovation while helping ensure products placed on the UK market are safe for consumers. For more information on this initiative please visit this page.
The first sandbox launched is a cosmetic sandbox for bioengineered ingredients (e.g. innovative cosmetic ingredients using bioengineering approaches). Expressions of interest for this sandbox are now being accepted from businesses that would benefit from focused regulatory engagement through the sandbox.
