In light of the evolving situation in Iran and the wider Middle East, the UK Government has provided guidance for businesses with operations, employees or supply chain links in the region. The Government has emphasised that the safety of UK nationals remains its immediate priority, and welcome information that will help to continue to assess against the UK's interests.
Businesses with employees based in, or travelling through or to, the region are encouraged to ensure staff register their presence through GOV.UK so that they can receive up to date travel and safety advice and access consular assistance if required. This includes the following countries: Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Palestine, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
Government departments are also closely monitoring the potential impact of developments in the region on international trade and supply chains. Businesses with interests in the region experiencing disruption to trade and supply chains can access guidance from the Department for Business and Trade via Ask our export support team a question - Contact Business.gov.uk support.
