EU ESPR – Survey on Disclosure of Information on Unsold Consumer Products

CTPA would like to highlight that a survey has been launched in relation to the unsold consumer products provisions under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

The survey is being run by Ramboll on behalf of the European Commissions’ Joint Research Centre, and is available here.

Among other things, the ESPR is tackling the destruction of unsold consumer products. Annex VII to the Regulation provides a list of product categories for which the destruction of unsold consumer products shall be prohibited.  At present, cosmetic products are not listed in Annex VII; however, the European Commission is empowered to adopt delegated acts to amend the Annex and add new products.

The survey is seeking input from stakeholders to establish the format for the disclosure of information on unsold consumer products in line with Article 24 of the ESPR.

The deadline for responses is Friday 11 October 2024.
