Annual Report

We are pleased to announce that the CTPA’s Annual Report for 2019 has been published. The report is being made available online only at present given the current situation we have with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CTPA Annual Report has been redesigned this year to provide a focus on the Association’s strategy to: Facilitate, Protect, Promote and Lead as part of the CTPA’s mission
‘to be the credible authority for a vibrant and responsible UK industry, trusted to act responsibly for the consumer’

The CTPA’s work on Brexit is fully documented together with the new international strategy, with ‘The UK in the Global Landscape’ giving the full trade picture as the UK stands ready to become a third country to the EU.  Our focus on the ambitious sustainability strategy, ‘Driving Towards a
Net Positive Cosmetics Industry’ is charted in the ‘Review of the Year’ section and we are  pleased to highlight the work of and CTPA’s participation at Cosmetics Europe, the European personal care association, within the ‘CTPA Working with Members’ pages.

As well as tailored advice for members, CTPA is also continuing to highlight official guidance and provide industry with critical information in the COVID-19 Advice for the Cosmetics Industry section of the CTPA public website.  This includes CTPA Guidance on In-Store Testers and Cosmetic Counters and a Charter to welcome customers back to beauty stores, supported by the BRC (British Retail Consortium).  The Charter has been widely circulated and can also be found on the CTPA’s consumer website, www.thefactsabout.co.uk, together with other COVID-19 related advice for consumers.

We hope you find the report an interesting and engaging read.  As the voice of the cosmetics industry in the UK, the CTPA seeks to ensure that it is open to dialogue with regulatory authorities, political stakeholders, NGOs, the media and other interested parties to present clear, scientific facts on the many topics pertaining to the efficacy and safety of cosmetic and personal care products.

Please do share the report with colleagues (those who know us and those who do not) and feel free to contact the CTPA with any questions that may occur to you.
