Webinar on CTPA’s Response to UK REACH ATRm Technical Consultation

On 29 September 2026, the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) launched its technical consultation on the draft Statutory Instrument (SI), outlining the registration requirements under the Alternative Transitional Registration model (ATRm) under the UK Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation.  The deadline to respond to this consultation is 10 November 2026.  Please see further information here.

Cosmetic ingredients are covered by UK REACH, therefore this will impact cosmetic companies - including Downstream Users importing directly from the EU. Being a technical consultation, it seeks comments on the wording of the draft legislation, in particular any potential drafting issue, omission, ambiguity, inconsistency, procedural gaps or unintended consequence that should be addressed before the legislation is finalised.  It is therefore important to provide feedback on the draft legal text to ensure it is as clear, and as workable, as possible for companies.

CTPA is submitting a response to the consultation, which is being developed in collaboration with its expert committees and therefore represents the views of its membership.  In addition, CTPA strongly encourages individual companies and organisations to submit their own responses, to reinforce key messages and to ensure the UK Government is aware of company-specific information.

CTPA would like to support companies in submitting their own responses to the consultation, by sharing the key points from the Association's response in a free webinar for both CTPA members and non-members.

The webinar will take place on 3 November 2026 at 14:00. Please register here for this free webinar.
