Would you like to become more confident in using Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients and chemicals?
CTPA has been championing education to promote the use of Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) and non-animal New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for chemicals safety assessment amongst industry and regulators. Following the successful training session in 2023, CTPA is organising another practical teaching day on this topic. With support from experts in NAM-based methods, attendees will have the opportunity to put these safety assessment methods into practice. This will increase the experience and confidence of safety assessors in the cosmetics and chemicals sectors in using non-animal data to make safety decisions.
The focus of the training will be on applying the Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) and the principles of Read Across. There will also be a session to explain how these fit in the broader NGRA framework. There will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to test out their skills in applying these principles in practice, and to engage with the experts and ask questions on this topic. The detailed programme for the day is available here.
The training day will be held on 29 September 2025 in London at Woburn House. The cost will be £125+VAT for members of CTPA, or £175+VAT for non-members of CTPA. To register, please click here. The deadline for registration is 12 September 2025.
