Learn about Safety Assessment of Cosmetics Using NAMs and NGRA

Do you know what is the Threshold of Toxicological Concern and Read Across and how they can be used for cosmetic and chemical safety assessment?

CTPA has teamed up with experts from its membership who are highly experienced in using Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), to deliver a practical training session on integrating these methods into the safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients and chemicals.

The focus of the training will be on applying the Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) and the principles of Read Across for cosmetic and chemicals safety assessment. During the unique event, attendees will be given material to analyse case studies and to try using NGRA/NAMs based data to reach a safety assessment conclusion, whilst being assisted by experts.  There will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to test out their skills in applying these principles in practice, and to engage with the experts and ask questions on this topic. The detailed programme for the day is available here.

The training day will be held on 29 September 2025 in London at Woburn House.  The cost will be £125+VAT for members of CTPA, or £175+VAT for non-members of CTPA.  To register, please click here. The deadline for registration is 12 September 2025.
