On 7 April 2025, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) notified to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) a new update to the GB Mandatory Classification List (MCL).
The expected date of adoption for this updated GB MCL is Q3 2025. The proposed date of entry into force is end of Q3 2025, with the ‘making available’ on the market deadline in Q1 2028.
The notification is open for comments for 60 days from the date of notification.
