EU Commission Survey for the Roadmap to Phase Out Animal Testing

Further to the commitment by the EU Commission to develop a roadmap towards phasing out animal testing for chemical safety assessments, WSP was commissioned to carry out a first survey to gather technical assistance for the development of the Commission roadmap towards phasing out animal testing for chemical safety assessments.  This survey forms part of wider work to review the current state of play on phasing out animal testing, to identify barriers to implementation of non-animal methods, and to identify the steps that will form part of the Commission’s roadmap.  For more information about this, please refer to this document.

CTPA encourages companies and stakeholders, expert in the field of non-animal New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for chemicals safety assessment, to provide their input to this survey.  The survey is open until 17 January 2025.

CTPA will also contribute.  For more background information, CTPA also previously responded to the EU Commission’s call for evidence on the roadmap to phase out animal testing in chemical safety assessments.  The response to this first consultation can be accessed here.
