Dr Matteo Zanotti Russo will be one of the experts on NGRA and NAMs, giving attendees an overview of NGRA and NAMs approaches and tips to identify the best strategy. Matteo will also facilitate the delivery of the practical case study on benzphenone-4, as well as address any of your questions.
Matteo is a Cosmetic Chemist, Safety Assessor and coordinator of a team of experts, and Senior Scientific Expert in cosmetic ingredients with a distinguished career spanning from 1992 to 2000. As an inventor, he has developed innovative cosmetic ingredients, including polymers, plant extracts, and functional ingredients. Matteo is also the Founder and CEO of Angel Consulting SAS, UK, and USA. He boasts extensive teaching experience at numerous universities and institutions such as the University of Siena, University of Rome -Tor Vergata, University of Genoa, Shenkar College, and Sofia University, where he has taught courses on Cosmetic Formulation, Safety Assessment, GMP, EU Regulation, and Claim Sustainability. He has managed research programs focusing on the development of new technologies in cosmetic products and has been involved in EU-funded projects including Superflex, Pepticaps, Vermeer, ASINA, EcoeFishent, and as a stakeholder in the ONTOX project. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Physiology at the University of Genoa, where he contributes to the creation and validation of in vitro models for efficacy and safety assessment of cosmetics.
