This year’s CTPA training ‘Cosmetic Claims – Principles and Practical Approaches’ will take place every day from 19 to 23 July between 13.30-15.30.
Elisabeth Erwin (Senior Investigations Executive at the Advertising Standards Authority - ASA) and Sophie Marchant (Copy Advice Executive for the Committee of Advertising Practice – CAP), have both been working at the ASA and CAP for 5 years and have specialised in advertising for cosmetics.
Elisabeth and Sophie will explain how the CAP Code, the UK advertising code, applies to cosmetic advertising including social media; in particular analysing past ASA rulings to provide an understanding of what is expected by the advertising regulator for adverts to be compliant.
