China’s beauty and personal care sector is one of the fastest growing industries, following the development of e-commerce activities, and the publication of the new Cosmetic Supervision and Administration Regulation (CSAR) enabling companies to innovate and exempting businesses from animal testing for imported general cosmetics.
China Beauty Expo (CBE), one of the largest beauty trade shows in China, will take place in Shanghai from 14 to 16 December 2022. CBE is a professional platform for personal care, makeup and fragrances, beauty, health and wellness, nail and eyelash brands and related services to develop their business in China, and is a great opportunity to attend when looking for the latest industry trends, finding distributors and partners or meeting industry professionals.
To this effect, the Department for International Trade (DIT) is inviting British beauty brands to join their UK GREAT Pavilion at the CBE in December. Participating companies will have access to a series of benefits, including physical brand and products showcase, networking opportunities, presence on CBE digital platform and participation to group sessions. Companies wishing to join DIT Pavilion can register online via the UK Government website. Spaces are limited and applications will be selected based on product category, brand awareness, existing exporting presence and potential. Please note this event is for brands who are looking to enter China as well as brands who are already established in China and looking to expand their network.
