A webinar will be hosted on 2 June about an Apprenticeship scheme that has been launched, to provide information to companies interested in finding out more about potentially participating.
Tiro, in partnership with the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS), has launched a new Level 3 Cosmetic Technician Apprenticeship, designed for laboratory professionals in cosmetics and personal care.
Mapped to the nationally recognised Laboratory Technician Standard, the programme blends Tiro’s scientific training with SCS-authored modules, giving apprentices practical, industry-specific skills.
Apprentices are employed in relevant roles, benefiting from hands-on learning, three hours of protected study time each week, and attractive salaries (£18,000–£21,000).
Employers can access up to 95% government funding or 100% via the Apprenticeship Levy, while Tiro handles recruitment, screening, and placement of candidates.
The programme supports both new and existing staff, helping businesses grow talent, enhance technical capability, and strengthen workforce motivation.
