Article 11 of the UK and EU Cosmetics Regulations require that a Product Information File (PIF) is created for each product before it is placed on the market.  A crucial element of the PIF is the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) referred to in Article 10 of both the UK and EU Regulations.

This webinar will launch the CTPA Safety Assessment Campaign 2021.  CTPA is delighted to welcome  a panel of highly experienced cosmetic safety assessors for an interactive panel discussion.

The webinar will begin with an introduction to the CTPA Safety Assessment Campaign 2021 followed by an overview of the CPSR as detailed in Annex I of the UK and EU Cosmetics Regulations. A discussion on the best practices when compiling a robust CPSR and a Q&A session with a panel of highly qualified and experienced safety assessors will take place where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

The following key topics will be covered:

  • Sources and selection of quality toxicological data.
  • The Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) Notes of Guidance on the testing of cosmetic ingredients and their safety.
  • ‘Dos’ and ‘Don’ts’ in cosmetic safety assessment and compilation of the CPSR.

This webinar will be of interest to anyone involved in cosmetic product development including, but not limited to, formulation technologists, technical managers, regulatory managers,  as well as safety assessors and toxicologists.
