CTPA Claims Webinars

CTPA is organising a series of webinars focussed on cosmetic claims, their requirements, general principles for claim substantiation, social media advertising and environmental claims.  These webinars are aimed at all relevant functions within a company, such as R&D, regulatory, legal and marketing.  The webinars are free for members and available for a £25 + VAT fee for non-members.

  • Regulatory framework for cosmetic claims and general principles for substantiation – 15 May at 10.00-11.00 (BST)

This webinar will give an overview of all the legal requirements for cosmetic claims, going from those of the EU Cosmetics Regulation and the Common Criteria, to the horizontal ones of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and the UK Advertising Codes.  The session will also give a generic overview of the principles for claim substantiation, with the hope to organise a fully detailed training event on this topic as soon as the current emergency situation is resolved.  Non-members of CTPA can purchase access for this webinar by emailing [email protected] and the registration link will be provided after booking.

  • Social Media Advertising and Working with Influencers – 9 June at 10.00-11.00 (BST)

This webinar will give an overview of all available guidance from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Competition and Market Authority (CMA) on social media advertising and how influencers can responsibly advertise products.  The session will also provide the general principles from the EU point of view, as given by the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA), however companies will be reminded that every EU Member State has its own advertising rules.  Non-members of CTPA can purchase access for this webinarby emailing [email protected] and the registration link will be provided after booking.

  • Environmental Claims – 8 July at 10.00-11.00 (BST)
