The On-Pack Recycling Label (OPRL) is a not-for-profit organisation providing UK wide recycling labels, helping consumers recycle. The OPRL labelling scheme takes account of the whole recycling process, from council and in-store collections, to sorting at Municipal Recycling Facilities, and the likelihood of reprocessing into recyclate and use in packaging or other products.
In this webinar, Margaret Bates, Executive Director at OPRL, provided an overview of its work, the importance of take-back schemes and their role in recycling otherwise unrecycled material, and the future of OPRL in light of Extended Producer Responsibility.
