CTPA Webinar on the UK Plastic Packaging Tax

This year the UK is introducing a Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT). The PPT will apply to finished plastic packaging manufactured in or imported to the UK (empty or filled), which is made from less than 30% recycled plastic. The tax will come into force from 1 April 2022, at a rate of £200 per metric tonne of plastic packaging.Companies likely to be affected by the tax will need to register and inform Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) that they are liable to register by 30 April 2022.
