Commit for Our Planet is an initiative developed by Cosmetics Europe that reflects the cosmetics and personal care industry’s shared ambition to reduce its environmental footprint. Through the initiative, companies can sign up to a series of voluntary environmental commitments across three key pillars: climate, packaging, and nature.
In this webinar, Cosmetics Europe provided an overview of the initiative, including the commitments and complimentary tools, as well as how to get involved.
THG Labs (Acheson), who joined the initiative in 2023, also shared first-hand insights into their experience of participating, including how the commitments have supported their sustainability journey and the benefits they have experienced so far.
The commitments have recently been updated, and participating companies now have access to new practical tools and guidelines designed to support successful implementation. The resources are free to use, and companies do not have to be a member of Cosmetics Europe to participate.
