Can you Identify which Products Might be Affected by EU REACH?

The EU REACH restriction on microplastics was published in September 2023.  It impacts any solid, synthetic, non-biodegradable polymer in any cosmetic product, and will therefore have an extremely significant impact on all cosmetic product categories.

It is important for companies to learn how to evaluate which ingredients used in their portfolio may be in scope of the microplastics restriction, in order to assess the impact on their products.

Learn about the criteria for defining an ingredient as a microplastics and how its use may be banned or impact your product, by joining CTPA at its webinar on the EU REACH microplastics restriction on 27 June 2024 at 10.00-11.30.  The webinar aims to explain companies what the requirements under this restriction are, from those related to ingredients and formulations, as well as product labelling and reporting obligations.

The webinar will cover the following key topics:

  1. What is a microplastic and how to assess if your ingredients are in scope
  2. Timelines and transition periods
  3. Tools to help companies plan for compliance
  4. FAQs and case studies
  5. Possible legislative activity in the UK

A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
