    Look Good 10 Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better: meeting the very real emotional and physical needs of cancer patients across the UK and worldwide.
In 2019, here in the UK, our Industry’s flagship charity was 25 years old and the organisation celebrated by recognising and thanking many of the people and organisations who have contributed to its continued growth and success.
In particular, over 2,500 volunteers who are the vital heart of the charity, donating their expertise, kindness and time to enable the charity to provide invaluable support.
Last year, Look Good Feel Better supported over 16,500 people through confidence-boosting workshops:
 1,585
Women’s Workshops were held, giving people the chance to relax, chat to others, share experiences and learn some positive skincare and make-up techniques to help combat some of the demoralising and emotionally challenging side effects of their cancer treatment.
  105
Workshops for Men were organised
in the first full year of this new and vitally needed service.
70
Sessions for Young Adults were held – for both young men and women.
Look Good Feel Better is unusual in that it works very closely and collaboratively with over 35 other charities – from Macmillan to Teenage Cancer Trust, Maggie’s Centres to many cancer specific organisations. CEO of Maggie’s Centres, Dame Laura Lee, said recently:
“Everything we do in our centres is to help people live better with cancer. Offering Look Good Feel Better is a great way for women and men to take time to relax and have fun in a group setting, while also learning new skills that can help them find a way back
to a feeling of normality.”
