Updated CTPA Guidance for SMEs

CTPA has relaunched its guidance documents for SMEs to reflect the changes that have come as a consequence of the UK leaving the EU.

  • The guide ‘Supplying Cosmetic Products on the GB Market – A CTPA Guide on What you Need to Know’ has been written in clear everyday language to help explain, to SMEs in particular, the obligations of cosmetic companies selling cosmetic products on the GB market under the UK Cosmetics Regulation.
  • The guide ‘Supplying Cosmetic Products on the EU and NI Markets – A CTPA Guide on What you Need to Know’ has been written in clear everyday language to help explain, to SMEs in particular, the obligations of cosmetic companies selling cosmetic products on the EU and NI markets under the EU Cosmetics Regulation.  Northern Ireland has been included in this guide because it follows EU rules, in accordance with the Northern Ireland Protocol to the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement.

Companies are encouraged to use these guidance documents as the first point of reference if they are looking to understand what their obligations are for selling cosmetic products in GB, NI and EU markets.  Further help is also available under the CTPA public resources and FAQs; CTPA members shall access the CTPA intranet for extensive member resources.
