Monday 15 October, President Donald Tusk sent an invitation to the members of the European Council ahead of their meetings on 17 and 18 October 2018 and stated that the prospect of a 'no deal' Brexit was “more likely than ever before”. The European Council will start on the evening of Wednesday 17 October with a debate on Brexit. CTPA will be monitoring the development of the negotiation.
It is therefore crucial for businesses to have a contingency plan in case the UK leaves the EU without a deal in March 2019. CTPA has created a new Brexit factsheet to help cosmetic companies (members and non-members) to understand the impact of a 'no deal' scenario on their business.
