COVID-19 – CTPA Industry Survey Report

Since the outbreak of the current public health emergency, CTPA has remained committed to providing support to the UK cosmetics industry through direct action with CTPA members and engagement with UK Government.  Critical Government departments, including BEIS (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) and DIT (Department for International Trade), are keen to understand the impact COVID-19 is having on the industry.

On 14 April, CTPA issued its COVID-19 survey to industry, directed at the UK cosmetics industry to gain insight into the impact of Covid-19 to support CTPA in the continued engagement with the UK Government and to single out opportunities for further action in response to the situation. The survey will remain open and CTPA welcomes cosmetic companies to continue to share their input, not only if they haven’t done so yet but also to share any relevant updates.

As of 18 May 2020, CTPA published the report detailing the initial conclusions of the Survey, with an analysis of all the information provided by CTPA Members and other industry contributions so far.  A total of 27 companies have participated to the survey, giving insight into areas such as supply chain disruptions, consumer trends and demand and business support.  CTPA would like to extend its gratitude to all persons and companies involved in these discussions, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and a unified industry approach towards the pandemic.
