BREXIT UPDATE – New CTPA Advice on Implications of a Deal

Following the latest political developments, CTPA has worked on updated advice for companies, highlighting the expected changes in the short- and long-term and the possible scenarios that can transpire from the negotiations between the UK and the EU.

A key point is that if the UK leaves the EU on 31 January 2020 with a deal, it is business as usual from 1 February 2020 until 31 December 2020 (referred to as the Implementation Period - IP).  However, companies are encouraged to consult the new Brexit public advice page ‘Planning for What's Next’ to understand all the possible outcomes of the negotiations and prepare accordingly.  More importantly, CTPA would like to stress that companies must use the IP to prepare in order to ensure minimal impact on their businesses.

CTPA will keep this new Brexit section updated with future developments and the outcomes of the negotiations.  Please visit regularly to stay abreast of the news from CTPA.
